THE LAUNCH OF OUR WEBSITE
Awareness!
We are proud to say that we as Columba Emadwaleni managed to start up our website with no external funding whatsoever. It did though cost a lot more money when it came to keeping it up to date and running but since we had money from our event 'Movie Day',we managed to fund our project to date.

The main aim of the website is create a positive image of our school in our community as it has had its fair share of negative comments and remarks. We are excercising the value of Awareness!
MEDIA
CENTRE
Service
As the media centre is part of our long term goals, we've submitted a few letters to different companies to request any refurbished electrical equipment. This was done because we are planning to establish a Media Centre in our school library as we believe that there are learners who cant have access to proper internet access thus they become unequiped to carry out even the simplest of tasks such as assignments, research exams and etc.
In terms of progress, we have come to a standstill due to not receiving any feedback from the companies.
DRUG-FREE ZONE
Service
The DFZ is part of our long-term goals too. It is aimed at decreasing the number of pupils in the schools who use harmful substances like drugs(smoking,drinking) by providing helpful information about the effects and consequences of using drugs. The school had invited the local Police,Community Protection Forum and other organisations and departments dealing with substance abuse and modern day teen challenges like pregnancy. We can only hope that those with ears received and those with conscience shall indeed change their ways!
OPERATIONÂ
ASIDOPENI
So cleanliness is next to God-liness right? So we started Op.Asidopeni so that we can assist the staff with keeping the school premises clean to encourage a better working environment for the teachers and a super fly environment for us, the learners, to actually LEARN!

This is done usually twice a month due to our schedule conflicting with that of our exams.

WHY UFIK'E LATE?
Integrity!
Late coming is a big problem in each and every school and just like every problem... We came up with the best method to discourage late coming.
Whichever teacher that will be in charge of the "gate duties" that day will allow entry to the late pupils provided that they pay a fee of R2, on top of having to run a lap up the street. No teenager wants his/her money R2 short by breaktime! Smart right!
MOVIE DAY!
The Most Successful Event We had so far.
With this fundraiser event, we as Columba brought the cinematic experience TO THE CLASSROOM! How mindblowing is that?

It was a really long day for us but worth it. The main aim was to provide good services to audience and we did justice.
REGULAR
MEETINGS
We believe that social is ten times better than same old routine so we decided that we are going to meet from Mon-Wed.

In our meeetings, we usually discuss important issues concerning us and the school and how we plan to tackle them.

HERITAGE IN COLOR!
Creativity!
This was one of our major events so far. The Heritage in Color event was basically aimed at combining the normal traditional celebration with a little bit of color splash spirit! It started of with the normal heritage proceedings and then ended of with activities for the educators. It was a really epic day indeed!
